I remember a couple years back me and a friend had a question about bees, so we emailed an entomologist at a small university. He was so happy to talk about it! I once emailed a professor about a hard to find book she wrote, and she sent me a copy :) Talk to people!!!
Sweetest email I have ever received, after I plucked up enough courage to ask my professor what his favourite books are in person, he later sent me this message, kindness does persist ☹️💐
Had a friend move away and write me a letter. wanted to repay the favor but they never gave me a return address so I sent an email. Now we’re digi-pen-pals. Feels great typing paragraphs on an email rather than a text that’ll make it look like an essay. Emailing all my other friends now just for fun. “Oh did you get my email? Yeah i got a show this weekend, all the deets are in the email. Check ur inbox.” Come on.
Sometimes, if my cat really wants my attention, he‘ll grab my leg loosely and bite me, where it hurts for a bit but leaves no mark nor blood. It’s not quite fun- but I think it serves a meaningful place in life
