mom, I wanna be JUST like Kyle Mooney when I grow up. five stars, anything less than 5 should be disregarded. like 5 minutes in to the movie I did the Martin scorsese absolute cinema meme in my seat with my arms. Youš«µ NEED to see this I think I might see it five more times. Also need to give brigsby bear a well overdue rewatch Now.

when i watched queer for the first time last year, i think i was expecting (and hoping for) a wrwwr/cmbyn-esque film.
when it was so not that i think i was disappointed because i had been so excited for that kind of a storyline and style.
there was no way it was anywhere close to my top guadagnino films.
earlier this month i was watching some of his interviews etc. about the film and decided to watch it again last week and i legitimately think it may be my favourite film of his.
knowing the meanings of the symbolism and more surreal elements of the film, and what to expect of the storyline, i connected with the characters soooo much more.
this is a mega rec, anyone who rates this film less than a 4 and has only seen it once should rewatch or ur in danger bcs i cannot stand to see that this film averages at a 3.4 on letterboxd, whatās going on???
im embracing pretentiousness bcs no like u actually just donāt get it x
this was a testament to rewatching films before projectile vomiting ugly lame opinions of them š

btw, the 50 year anniversary of Texas Chainsaw Massacre is being celebrated at Regal theaters everywhere, and if you havenāt experienced it on the big screen, kid, I fuckin implore you to. Itās beautiful. and I mean that.
upon watching you will fall ill, your poor stomach will churn and churn, the cold dark of the theater will envelop you not unlike death itself . if your hair doesnāt fall out on its own, youāll rip it straight from the follicle in a prehistoric animal-programmed fear response. Youāll love it.
Also I wonāt spoil it but thereās an incredibly funny scene nearly at the end of the film that will likely make you cry tears; its rather reminiscent of a moment in an episode of Tom and jerry.
Anyways goodnight. Iām beyond impressed, I just had to gush. No matter how many times I watch this shit it never ceases to make me sick, and thatās pretty special.

Oh good god itās another perfect movie. Every single shot was so beautifully composed I couldnāt quite even keep up, I was still processing each one by the time it changed frames. I loved the character of Arthur sensitive and a little evil, complex and also just a man with a ādivining rod.ā Excellent comentary on capitalism and greed. Beautifully paced film, and just overall an absolute treasure. I need to see it sixteen moreĀ times

I feel like Iāve picked up so much good music by just instantly downloading an opening actās album right after their set. Just saw Wishy at babyās all right last night and they had a band called Plastic open up, tight band & tight name, Iām sold. I feel like too many people skip the opener and I get it it can get tiring but I already know Iām gonna like the headliner lemme get a nice little surprise. this has GOT to be my last music rec for a little bitā¦
