Peak mess, 8 full seasons of it and a couple spinoff shows. Made no sense from the get-go and wow has it descended as the seasons have passed, but there’s something endearing about it when you’re not laughing out loud at all the plot holes, bad 10s fashion, and the classic big ballad at the end during a tense moment (think Ed Sheeran as the same characters almost or fully kiss for the first time). Like Gosip Girl and the OC, many of the episodes revolve around a nonsensical full cast party or event where peak drama develops; it’s somehow almost Founders’ Day or the decade dance at the high school these supernatural characters still sporadically attend. I regret nothing.
