Sometimes you just get lonely. Sometimes you want company. Sometimes you just wanna scare people (OR impress people) with your decorating skills. This will solve all of those problems.
Another thing to add is the fact that this would be great for hide and seek. People will already be so accustomed to having a human-like lamp, that when you hide as one, it wouldn't be as obvious.
