i’m a little biased since i’m from there, but there is just something about the state that feels so peaceful. especially in autumn, when all the leaves are changing and apples and pumpkins and maple.
lived there for 4 years in college and i miss it a lot. the thing about living in a state with a long, harsh winter is that spring is so fucking cathartic
i feel like social media has made us so self-aware of our actions/habits/behaviors. we are thinking of what is cool or trendy or desirable. we are too afraid to be cringe! to be stupid! to be lame!
the best community i have found is the people who are not afraid to like what they like & are proud of it. do the stuff you always wanted to try. the people will follow.
this is only a habit i have picked up in the last year, but it has made a world of difference. i will write about things that i am thinking about or stuff i need to do or just chronicle my day. i just find it very grounding or like a reset to my thought processes.
