chumbawamba is literally so underrated, there's a lot more to them than that one knocked down song. started as an anarcho-punk band then became an alternative dance outfit, still brimming with punk attitude and lyricism. favorite of theirs atm is 'bad dog' from their sixth album 'anarchy' which features in its album cover a fetus's head exposed from a vagina.
one particular album of will toledo's band car seat headrest which i have been listening to a lot lately is nervous young man along with the song 'oh! starving' from the living while starving EP and the song 'sunburned shirts', especially the version from the "comp" album 'teens of style'.

the chokehold this band has on me right now is wild. the range of this mid-western group, from heavy noise guitar to soft twangy country-esque songs puts them high up there for me as one of the best current rock bands.
some fave songs: broadview, high, at home, preoccupied, falling apart, cramps, do you feel it, steel birds, young world
