got to see her live at the aragon ballroom last week and she was just radiant. loved her since 2016 when i was a freshman in hs so this was so worth the wait 🥺 it reminded me of when she released flame the spring semester and my friends and I got in trouble for playing that in gym class after our coach got arrested for attempted arson
she’s a once in a generation phenomenon. if im being honest i wasn’t that excited to go to the concert cause i went alone and its my third time seeing her but god. i dont listen to her music as much anymore because i just dont think its good for me to feel so much all the time but i used to listen to her a lot when things got rough. i didn’t even do my usual ”concert prep” this time (listening to some of the artist’s work/setlist before the concert). but it was so good. brought me back to the way life felt before and yet i could observe safely from a distance. she played thursday girl briefly and i almost cried. she played some songs in a different arrangement (i dont smoke turned country) and it was a hit. life is so beautiful
recently dropped her debut, self-titled album and it's awesome to say the least. she's an alum of my school so she recently played here, and while it was a super short set i ate it up.
The dialogue was written from interviews conducted by the creators with real New Yorkers in the 90's, it's so natural and authentic. Like Freaks and Geeks, such a shame we only ever got one season.
