feels like such a timeless album. i’ve returned to it so many times purely because of how unapologetic it is in terms of its angst and unconventional, “homemade” sound. escape in an album. amazing musical storytelling both in its creation of an aural landscape and in straightforward exposition.

i have listened to this over and over and over again. whenever it’s playing, i feel like i’m listening to what music was always meant to be. i’ve written essays on it, i’ve cried to it, and i’ve gone on many road trips with it…i love it dearly. in my opinion, it’s a once in a lifetime album made by a once in a lifetime band.

certain songs from this album float in and out of my life beautifully, but overall it’s a delight from top to bottom. Just what a light, clever, and meditative presence in such lovely music! truly dont make ‘em like this anymore

you have got to firm waiting and/or spending time in comfy and warm hotel lobbies even if you’re not staying there and it makes you nervous! especially in december when the only alternative is waiting for your bus outside in the cold 🌟

discovering new music worlds with physical records and not from the comfort of a phone screen can be so refreshing and interesting. embrace how people used to do it there is so much old music out there to be found and listened to in its purest form
