I get the hype. I normally don’t got for period pieces but it actually made me feel in the time and moment. So many characters but they did such a good job with their development that it’s not as confusing as some other shows and they watered the white savior stuff down. Also the wardrobe! The hues of their clothing are so rich. The amount of time they put into historical accuracy, too. I got into it.

The production value is crazy with the level of research and work they put into building the sets alone!!! it’s beautiful and I love the power dynamics and political intrigue I can see why so many people are comparing it to early Game of Thrones. All of the Japanese people speak Japanese (subtitled of course) and not to brag but I have a kindergarten level of proficiency in the language 💅 so I feel like that’s finally paying off for me. Best show on TV right now and probably the best show that’s been made in years other than like Severance

Just finished the show a couple of days ago and I straight up went to the r/shogun subreddit to go through the discussions lol. It is such a great show, I loved it. The cast was perfect and the cinematography was so good! Highly recommened if you’re into historical dramas and action

Definitely not my usual but so much love went into this thing. Gorgeous costumes and insanely good acting. Hop on the bandwagon before the season ends next week!

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
