sometimes if I have a frame that's the wrong size/shape for my art I center the piece on a complementary background (usually just a sheet of Kraft paper, but you could also use patterned wrapping paper or poster board) that does fit the frame if I have a bunch of small prints that complement each other I collage them in a single frame. photo corners can add a fun pop of color too and look even more intentional alternatively, I've had some good luck finding frames on eBay, mercari, and fb marketplace

highly recommend buying cheap or secondhand frames and decorating them as you like - i’ve glued on shells before and recently i’ve been using posca paint markers to draw designs- it makes everything more personalised and special - this is one i made for my cat

One of my flatmates recently discovered a cheap framing shop near to where we live. Now, I have become obsessed with framing everything. I'm currently waiting on a print of The Red Shoes I got at the BFI to be framed in this gorgeous silver metal. Framing is great. Daydreaming about what you'd frame, how you'd frame it, picking the framed thing up. It's all amazing.

I went to my friend Matthew’s place years ago and he’d covered his walls in frames filled with small moments like a receipt from a first date, a number on a bar napkin, a hole in his wall – Years later, cities later, it’s my favorite way to fill my walls. I just picked up a crazy shadow box frame for a deck of cards I randomly got at David Blaine’s house one bizarre night last year.

dystopian/post-apoc easy read! I don’t read a ton of books in that genre, but found it really compelling or Bliss Montage, also by Ling Ma, is a great short stories collection. sometimes short stories are the best way for me to break out of a reading slump 🤌
