this film depicts loneliness in such a humane and palpable manner. extremely sweet and a nice departure from the typical romantic comedy. i always find cities the best landscape to depict loneliness, this film reminded me of a favorite quote of mine: “there must be thousands of people in this city who are dying to welcome you into their small bolted rooms, to sit you down and tell you what has happened to their lives. and the night smells like snow. walking home for a moment you almost believe you could start again. and an intense love rushes to your heart, and hope. its unendurable, unendurable.” - franz wright

took a spontaneous trip to see the new alien movie today
ive never been to see a horror movie alone at the cinema before so it felt all the more immersive for me, would recommend going to get scared alone even if you’re a scaredy-cat like me :)
