βPre-AIDS gay media always makes me emotional. Unabashedly living as queer in the face of everything makes me emotional. I love the intimacy of this documentary so much. It's so casual and the camera revels in the queens' presence it feels like I could reach through the screen and touch them and then I get emotional again that I cannot. Crystal LaBeija, one of the most influential queens in history, you will always be loved and your legacy is your true win. I love queer flaboyancy and homosexual sensability. Not only have we always been here, but some of us have even always dared to live as we naturally are.β
