i know i'm late to the party, but i finally watched "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off" and it was amazing!
idk why i assumed it would just be an animated version of the movie, but i'm really glad it wasn't. it really makes sense too- honestly who would go out of their way to watch it without having seen the original movie!
i don't want to spoil anything about the series, but i really loved the plot. i also loved all of the little details and that they kept that consistent with edgar wright's iconic directing style from the movie. i would rate it an 8/10!
