I shot this video last night (šŸ”—) and thought, this is actually criminal. But perfect for my first post on PI. Halloween might actually be the worst night to cook.—and with a little reflection in this post (easily straight out of a horror film.) Next year, on October 31, I’m taking things out of my hands = party snacks, candy, maybe a couple of sandwitches. The real Halloween essentials so we don’t starve… or commit any more culinary crimes.šŸ’€

I have the tiniest apartment in NYC and I love her. The kitchen is nothing more than the fridge sink oven and a small square of counter space but you know what we make it WORK. I never have all the necessary equipment to cook something but it forces me to get creative. I didn’t have a lid to my saucepan so guess what we threw a baking sheet on there and called it a day. All I really needed was something to keep the heat (mostly) in. Don’t have vinegar? Put in a lemon, that’s also an acid. Don’t have a trussing needle? We’re dousing a safety pin in alcohol and sewing that chicken UP. Restriction makes you think about why you’re doing something instead of going through the motions. Donā€˜t let your kitchen for ants hold you back!

my power went out for 32 hours and now that my power is back on I had to cook everything in my fridge bc of food safety anxiety. (if you work in a kitchen you get it) but I love having to throw something together!! I did a za'tar veg bake with brie and asparagus puff pastry bites and it fucked. not an aesthetic instagram picture I just like cooking for my friends

Just launched merch ā€œButtzā€ after realizing it’s 6 months into 2025 and everything I’ve worked on creatively either hasn’t dropped or isn’t cool :p Right now it’s pay what you want + shipping. Can drop off in Brooklyn.
