While it’s a total slog to drag it out on location I love going over to friend’s houses and taking their portrait on my Mamiya RB67. Currently having fun pushing Kodak Gold 200 a couple stops. :-)

Medium format is a great opportunity to try a Twin Lens Reflex camera (those weird looking box cameras with two stacked lenses on them). Rolleiflex is kind of the crown jewel, but they're expensive. The Yashica ones are at a more reasonable price range, and the Rolleicords are good too. The experience of them is a bit disorienting - you look down into a waist-level viewfinder that's on a piece of glass, and the image is reversed, but I found that this challenged me in a good way in terms of composing images and taking my time!
