Unlike the Tarkovsky version, this one doesnโt require 3 hours and an ego death to enjoy. Soderbergh is an auteur in his own right and at his most artistically assured here.
Haunting, romantic, doomed. Beautifully threatening, like the swirling gases of an alien atmosphere. Also, lots of hot people.
