Cubbyhole for more of a chill bar, Henrietta Hudson for more of a club vibe, Gingerās in park slope, the woods on Wednesdays, I think thereās one that opened recently in bushwick called the bush that I donāt know much about. Have fun!!!
Bed stuy bar which hosts vinyl DJs most nights- pin ball machines are in the back. The worn in wooden benches and drink deals makes it feel homier than a most full blown āclubā environments, but the dance floor opens up spontaneously whenever necessary.
rooftop spot in Bushwick/East Williamsburg. If spring summer bday you can get the outdoor space but the inside is great too. It wonāt be private but they take res for large groups and will do a min spend I believe. Also Pine Box in Bushwick has a big room in the back.
Small dance floor so not gonna recommend it on a weekend but sound/vibe will be legit for actual dancing. Also in NYC the real dancers āĀ for house at least āĀ tend to follow particular DJs (in the Paradise Garage and Club Shelter traditions) but I am personally out of the loop so you'd best ask the rug cutters in question when you spot them in the wild. Also look into Friends and Lovers in Crown Heights ā another spot run by old-school heads.
I took it in a canon rebel g that I was lucky enough to find at an estate sale for about $20 and itās by far my favorite pic Iāve ever taken! I think the film is like fujifilm ISO 400 or something idk but I love the colors it brings out
