Finishing your small braids with some sewing thread looks nicer than using elastic bands imo. Additionally it just feels cool to know how to tie my hair like this.
any time I go to put my hair up and I can’t find a hair tie, I literally tie my hair in a knot.
and it stays there. totally self-sustaining. doesn’t even tangle
I mostly do selfportraits with watercolours inherited from my mum and greatgrandma. I find that it helps me process and communicate emotions + it's easy to get reference pictures. (i also draw other people, like lovers and friends, sometimes)
