man sounds insufferable. Most of the joy of having a good barber is being able to gab and catch up and share stuff you’re into. Does he ask you questions or does he just talk? Are you paying him for a cut or a sermon? A good barber knows how to chat. It sounds like this man doesn’t have social skills.
If you’re that in love with his cuts, I would just ask him some probing questions instead of sitting there and having to listen to it or outright disagreeing with him. I did this one time with a Qanon uber driver and it was very satisfying, but have to admit it probably wasn‘t the time or place given I was hostage in his car. “Wait, why is Beyonce eating children? What’s the point?”
That being said I totally get the desire to stay the hell out of it given he’s the one with the sharp objects whirling around your eyes and neck.

Shadowbeni spot on! I’ve tried to ask a few leading questions like you with the QUber driver but with no luck. The man seems to only get more incensed with the world when pressed for more info (not at me for digging, but an angry barber is a dangerous barber nonetheless when it‘s you in the seat). Essentially the entire appointment consists of me trying to maneuver the conversation towards lighter topics so that my hair is cut well. This has been successful thus far, but it’s a dangerous and tedious game I’ve been playing to achieve the perfect haircut. Sooner or later the scissors may slip when discussing an upcoming “stolen election,” and I’ll find myself back at square one. Probably best to cut the cord now.

Have you ever heard that thing in NYC about barbers? Apparently you shouldn’t share that information with anyone because the next time you go to see them they won't be able to see you. Not 100% sure if that tracks ATM but I love my barber. I get a haircut at least once a week. (if I have the time once every five days) I keep a tight fade and because it’s so short it grows fast. A good haircut and beard trim is hands down  one of the best feelings in the world. Fresh haircut right before the weekend? *Pop Smoke voice* I feel invincible

a few weeks ago my barber told me “aye just hang in there man, you got it bruh” and for some reason that shit was so profound.

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
