my favorite person to follow as of late - she breaks down all the 'boring' pop photography composition in a way that makes me go "oh...wait...". it's like I am in class at a free photography school
i normally only do concert/show or street photography but as i try and shift towards working with people and doing photoshoots she's been suchhhh an inspiration on how to keep that same "candid" feeling that i utilize so much in my work but for very thought out shoots. also all her models always look like they are having fun and its a reminder that not everything has to be so serious and not every model has to give that uninterested or pretending the camera isnt there look
like i said in my other post i don’t know many photographers, but she is another one that comes to mind. sometimes they all fit a theme or tell a story. i think a common misconception of various visual art forms is that portraying the “mundane” = not art/boring/nothing special etc and i think the popularity of her instagram page shows how artfully she is able to capture something as ”simple” as strangers on their commute and turn them into something so engaging
biased because shes a best friend but i truly think she has such an eye for a moment in time, even in her casual photography that she never posts. she is someone i know who has a true passion and love for the camera and what it can capture! i am truly inspired. :)
