my dad was super into mob movies and books and he showed me all the classics at like 11. very impactful on me and my taste. he had a thing for media like that, war movies and westerns too. he was just sentimental about guys doing crazy shit in the past lmao. there’s a lot of junk but there’s also a lot of gems. my all time favorite is Goodfellas which is a pretty standard pick but it’s a classic for a reason.
