went on a full-blown collector’s binge lately (since late 2023) with Gaultier. Owing to that, got a pocket organizer cause someone was selling it for cheap with the original fill in. Just refilled for a second time and realized how it’s keeping me, well, organized. No surprises there.
Someone asked me why I couldn’t just use my phone to handle my notes and schedule (I honestly do double entry sometimes), but writing things down kind of gives it a finality that only a correction tape that I have to get from my office will erase.
Am I the most organized person because of it? Pretty far from it. But at least I have a cool notebook and found the joy of writing stuff down again (whether it makes me look dated is another thing altogether).

Recently I bought a little pack of palm-sized notebooks in an effort to be more “analog” with my notes and thoughts (pretentious, I know). With a world of increasing options, I’ve found I am all over the place with my notes. I have some in Apple Notes, some in Notion, a few in other random apps I’ve accumulated over the years, and I’m sure others in places I forget. For the past month I’ve used these handwritten notebooks and it’s like something finally clicked for me. Just a quick jot away, I’ve got a pad filled and another started, with drawings/diagrams of ideas for projects and little notes I want to be able to look back on. Just make sure if you do this you pair those notebooks with some muji pens or your preferred writing tool for the ultimate experience.

Digital tools are necessary for a lot of things, but more and more I'm looking for ways to start and supplement my workflows offline
Recently I drafted several emails in a notebook by hand — I realized upon review that they were more creative and thoughtful, which was good, because they were high-stakes communications
Although I do have digital productivity tools in my life, nothing beats—for me—a handwritten list of tasks
I keep a tiny notebook in my pocket for jotting stuff down. I realize that if I whip out my phone to jot down an idea, I may get list in the machine and forget the idea before I've even recorded it.
Also some writing, by hand, at the start and end of the day to observe and consider the day
...okay, after re-reading your rec, I don't know if this is even applicable or on topic so I'm gonna wrap up and click "Share"

every time I have a doc or eye or dentist appt I book it in manhattan; since i live in brooklyn it makes it a whole thing — I'll do the appt but then get a little treat or have a little hang in the city before coming home. 🥐☕️🌺💐✨💫

I don't touch spotify as much these days, their discovery algo just isn't great.
NTS radio is playing in my apt basically all day — go download the app, tune in live to one of their 2 stations or browse their archive of shows, exceptionally well curated sets from tastemakers and djs from all over.
linked is a very fun set from last month, psych rock soundtrack kinda vibes and how I'm starting my day
