little fucker stopped being able to pee last night and i had to take him to the emergency vet. they’ve put a catheter in him and he’s in observation until tomorrow evening. my biggest achilles heel is that i love him so much. i love him $3000 worth of medical bills.

I vet friend recommended I get this arthritis medicine for our 15/16-ish year old cat (he's a rescue we dk for sure). You have to inject it with a needle yourself which kinda freaks me out cause I don't want to miss. its also $50 a month which is not cheap but not the worst.
The results are amazing though, he has so much more energy, can jump better, plays more. Hard rec for those with 9+ yr old cats.

Kind of a genre of medieval paintings, but confirms to me how horny people have always been and how we've always had to sublimate our desires into the dominant culture. It's so weirdly explicit and bizarre, and has so many layers in how it would have been used: a painting to look at, a page in a prayer book to speak as a script, a physical object to touch and venerate and meditate with.... like imagine people fingering this "wound" and being like, yes this is honestly totally about jesus. Crazy.
