My friend Galen has a newsletter called People's Paradise, where he offers his thoughts and opinions on fashion after spending several years working in the industry and being surrounded by the culture. There are dozens of fashion blogs now, but instead of analyzing trends, he dissects existing brands and products. I love the way Galen's personal experience informs his writing, having discovered fashion as a child growing up in China (each entry includes a Chinese translation). Reading People's Paradise feels like you're grabbing coffee with him, chatting with someone knowledgable yet humble, and most of all eager to share his insights with you.

It feels odd recommending a newsletter in a newsletter, but stick with me here. I, like I am sure most of you, have hit newsletter fatigue. Every bozo with a MacBook Air and a liberal arts degree wants you to pay them for their unedited thoughts. Content with a velvet rope. Exclusivity isn't dead. Figure out a way to subscribe and be prepared to be blessed every Sunday.

Pulling Weeds at GQ - I respect Chris Black's takes. This is a great weekly column / newsletter. Deez Links - You just have to sub to this one, covers all the bases all the time. Sprezza - For menswear, for interviews, for insights to the clothing we wear, this is the best overall newsletter.
