I don't think it's in our capacities to change THAT much processes so fundamentally radicated. It's in our nature to let go of memories and episodes and events. If there are no clinical reasons to worry about, it seems good to live lightly. If it's so important to have something that reminds us constantly of people or things, it clearly shows struggle to hold on/let go of. Make peace with it but find time and space to reconcile with your own past times.

nothing hurts more than the heavy weight of constant rumination. if it's in the past, acknowledge it, then keep moving– better things lie ahead.

Holding on to: old habits, bad relationships, cynicism, clothes you haven’t worn in a long time, anxiety/resistance during a psychedelic trip, resistance to change, resistance to desire, shame, something you‘ve been worrying about, something that makes your shoulders tight, being a mentor, being a parent, being a hoarder, being a hater. Just trust yourself (or the other person) and know that if you let go it will be alright, probably even great. (I’ve had an amazing day)

His films are so funny and smart and calculated. It's all about the sinister nature of humanity and fears. They're not at all boring and they're super classic genre so.
