I’ve loved Aaron Powell’s solo project for a few years now - Dragonchaser and Captain are two incredible records which both grabbed me initially - and the further I delve into his back catalogue I still find amazing gems like this lofi slowcore piece.

I discovered this song on one of the saddest spring nights of my life and let it play as I tried to go to sleep. For some reason it always makes me think of extremely bright moonlight on oak trees. Principal songwriter Rick Alverson went on to direct The Comedy with Tim Heidecker and Entertainment with Gregg Turkington.
