i've listened to all except for the raye and janelle monae album! love janelle monae, but i haven't listened to that album and i haven't listened to raye before so i'll give her a listen! i love a good live album

memoryquilt that janelle monae album is genuinely so stunning. it talks a lot about racial issues but uses symbolism through robots??!! it sounds bizarre but it’s perfection. and omg that raye album will change your life if you’re a fan of jazz 🥲

camshortcake that's so sick! loveeee when an album has a solid concept/themes like that. janelle monae is just always incredible at executing a vision. have u listened to dirty computer and watched the movie/music video she made for it? it's on youtube and i honestly have yet to watch it but i've heard awesome things. and yayyyy i love jazz and have been meaning to listen to more now that it's getting cooler out :D

memoryquilt i have listened to dirty computer- it’s soo good. her entire discography is insane! also no i haven’t watched it, but i definitely will. she’s truly an amazing artist all around so i bet its wonderful. and that’s so real of you about jazz 😇 it truly makes the perfect chilly weather vibes. i recommend that album for sure as a little intro, but her album ‘my 21st century blues‘ that has the originals of the songs on the live album is stunning jazz-pop fusion!!

camshortcake ahhhhhh thank u that is too sweet :,) and not creepy at all haha. that raveena follow is actually still crazy to me. i'm a long time fan of hers and a couple yrs ago i dmed her a long ass message professing my love for her music because i felt like she needed to know, whether she responded to me or not. and she responded and ended up following me lol i still can't believe it. i am forever fangirling
