It's not possible to say enough about the genius of Sophie so I just want to highlight a song of hers that just fills my whole soul every time I hear it: "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye". It's so sparse, but so energetic and so emotional, I could put it on repeat all month and feel and think a billion different things. I love an artist whose work inspires that, and Sophie is the best of them <3

Gosh this album. I found it recently and can’t pull my head out of it. There is something about Hannah’s melodies that feels classic but so rich and subtle. The production and mouth feel is spot on. Forever a sad boi xxoo

This whole album is a gem, but this song in particular has been on repeat a lot for me lately. The melody gets stuck in my head in the best way possible.

Cary Grant is potentially the most entertaining actor of all-time, which probably makes him the greatest actor of all-time. Katherine Hepburn is probably the greatest actress of all-time. They're always incredible together, probably most famously in Bringing Up Baby or the Philadelphia Story, but Holiday (1938) is a funny, melancholy Golden Age romance that brings the best out of both of them. Golden Age Hollywood is a comfort food for me, and I'll probably make my girlfriend watch this with me for my birthday around this upcoming New Year's Eve.

if you're in the Detroit area, the two best bookstores in the world are the two John King Books locations (one in Detroit, one in Ferndale). Each location features shelves overstuffed with used and rare books, and I can lose myself for hours whether I'm looking to finally try and read Marcel Proust, or if I want to find some random high fantasy or sci-fi novel no one's ever heard of. Generally it's cheaper than Barnes & Noble (no shade, I used to work there), and besides, it's cooler to have your own unique edition of a book rather than the mass market version you get buying new. Incredible staff too, btw. Can't recommend highly enough if you're near the Detroit.

This is almost all I listen to anymore. Every week MurderxBryan digs through the depths of Reddit, YouTube, Quora, and other corners of the internet to cover different kinds of guys. You can get the general idea from the episode titles: Bourbon Guys, Lawn Guys, Lego Guys, Porno Guys, Magicians, every episode features the most unhinged and sometimes concerning posts ever written on the Internet. Every episode is good, and I'm a particular fan of Bryan's Patreon series on Shock Jocks, who are their own kind of pathetic, desperate, lonely guy, but for a recommendation start with the first episode, Sex Guys with Mike Hale (Your Kickstarter Sucks) and learn about crazy guys you'll info dump about to your girlfriend later.
