Just really stunning early alt rock songwriting that Big Star is known for, but the guitars on this one are a big step up from #1 Record.

Instructions for best listening conditions included in the title. I used to blast this from the roof of my old apartment while dancing around on said roof with a beer in my hand. I would teleport back there in a heartbeat. Also to get so unserious for a sec I'm playing Boombastic any time I'm driving.

Late to this but holy cow. I couldnāt be more enamoured with the tones and textures of this EP. Each track is a banger and inventive in its own way. Boldly charts a course for pop music.

Noroi: The Curse (2005) - Found footageā¦ the climax is so good. Great for fans of ghost/demon stuff.
Pulse (2001) - One of my favourite horror movies ever. Worms its way into your being. Some truly terrifying, iconic scenes and imagery, not to mention quite prescient in its message re: online connectivity and society. Really canāt sing its praises enough!
Ju-On: The Grudge (2002) - A classic!!! Still hits. Quintessential haunted house domestic strife ghost story. Toshio š¢šāā¬
Audition (1999) - Probably my least favourite of this batch. Not for the squeamish. Still worth a watch if only for its feminist social commentary.
GonJiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) - OK this one is admittedly kinda hokey but itās based off a REAL location and the jump scares are amazing!! Some truly spine-tingling moments. Not recommended just before bed lol š¬ (Also found footage)
