because once I started being intentional with my wake-up routine, I realized mornings arent that bad??? I wake up, brush my teeth, wash my face, stretch for 10 minutes, meditate outside for 5 minutes. The birds sounded so pretty when I was outside today and it is super nice to get some fresh air first thing in the morning. ***this rec is coming from someone who claims to be the OPPOSITE of a morning person*** I do NOT recall a time being outside in the morning sounded pleasant… did the world get a new update??? Am I behind a version???

tbh I been struggling to have a proper morning routine bc I’m not a morning person. But I must convert…. My brain hurts from immediately frying it with my ā€œroutineā€ iPhone doomscroll the moment I awaken. what I’ve been doing to change this up and not feel absolutely fried is : First, of all waking up. Make my bed as well as I can. Immediately washing my face & brushing my teeth. Throughout all of this, I’m also avoiding turning on any fluorescent lights and just using the peeking morning light as my guide. Then I make my breakfast in the peace n quiet :3!! I try to not use my phone until 30-45 min after I wake up, and if I can go longer I will. It’s hard when everything regarding school / work & friends are on this little device :(. This ā€œroutineā€ may sound so normal to someone…. but keeping this habit with a no phone routine is so helpful for me. It’s so important to get my ā€œmundaneā€ but necessary tasks to jump start my day without any unnecessary stress to distract me from them. Cause especially during those days where the first thing I do is grab my phone, I’m completely thrown out of whack and living off of stress. I do things like get distracted, by an unexpected assignment or shift change, and forget to wash my face or drink water in the morning… Then I feel out of whack. So ya, what do you guys do to make your morning routine the way it is to set up your day?

ive been struggling with getting my mornings started, im either doom scrolling in bed or just snoozing my alarm for hours. i’ve found that if i start my day by stepping outside while drinking some coffee/tea it changes my day sooooo much. Suddenly life is rainbows and butterflies.

I used to be such a morning person and I’m trying to get back to that. It’s much harder in the winter but I feel more encouraged by the changing of seasons. I feel such much more at peace when I have time to myself in the mornings before I need to rush to work. I can stretch, write, read, watch an episode of King of the Hill lol. The hardest part is peeling yourself out of bed, and then youā€˜re rewarded by time and quiet.
