Just watched this movie “Mysterious Skin” for the first time and was (devastatingly) blown awayyy. I think a lot of people have seen it already but if you haven’t, this is your sign!
Do not watch if you have a lot of trauma I genuinely had to look away so many times but tbh it is a stunning movie so I also recommend it at the same time only if you’re fully capable. Also Joseph Gordon Levitt
one of my absolute favorite movies. i watched it a few years ago, and i'm still recovering. probably won't give it a rewatch for at least another five years.
Just another person telling you to go watch this film. I finally saw it a week ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. It’s an incredibly beautiful and visceral film from top to bottom.
