Which kind of reads like divorce proceedings: Cindy got the melodies, Preoccupations got the post-punk angst.
This is one SUPER fucked up video: David Koresh, Jonestown, Rajneeshpuram, L. Ron Hubbard. Heaven’s Gate. It’s like a visual catalog of cult-induced catastrophe.
But it matches the band’s on-their-last-nerve steez, hardly a stretch for a group with songs like “Anxiety,“ “Pointless Experience” and “Death” already in its catalog. If the B-52s were doing collabs with Bauhaus back in the day, it might come out sounding like this. 🖤

X-Cetra is the latest Numero Group offering, whose releases run the gamut from early White Zombie to lost gospel. This is neither. This is sleepover-core.
In the year 2000, four pre-teen friends Jessica, Ayden, Janet, and Mary wanted to create their own pop group. Armed with a microphone, they recorded vocals and then one of their mothers married those vocals to like some obscure German minimal wave musician.
One of the kids, Ayden Mayeri, grew up to be a successful actor and has revisited some of these recordings over the years and now they have come to fruition with a killer physical release complete with old photos and doodles.
