Intimate but with a beautiful interior. I’m also a little biased because I saw IDLES here and it was a magical show. Webster hall also holds a special place in my heart for being my first NYC concert and being surprisingly easy to get to. For a seated show I love Kings. Honestly I don’t like Brooklyn steel because every time I go I feel like the lights are somehow directly in my eye

IDLES AT BOWERY WAS INSANE. Seeing them this month at Forest Hills and excited to see how that goes.

I’ve probably been to 6 or 7 shows here in the year since I’ve moved to NYC.
Their booking is stellar (outside of the all the metal). Particularly, I like getting to see groups that would be opening for bigger artists in much larger venues. Lot of NY based artists will also l throw release shows there like Chanel Beads, This is Lorelei, and Hotline TNT.
There is good outside space and bar space for hanging out between sets. It’s also pretty close to the L and buses back to Bed Stuy.

If you’re not familiar, this is the best concert calendar for gigs in nyc. I wish it existed in every city.
Some fav venues depending on whats happenin: Baby’s All Right, Union Pool, TV Eye, The Sultan Room, Bowery Ballroom, Music Hall of Williamsburg
Jazz, etc: Ornithology, Small’s, Nublu, Barbès, LunAtico

Baby’s All Right in Williamsburg is one of the better music venues in the city. Always a cool indie show going on there. Avasha from Lowertown is at the door scanning tickets sometimes. Just bring a friend because the walk+train stop can be a little sketch.

I took it in a canon rebel g that I was lucky enough to find at an estate sale for about $20 and it’s by far my favorite pic I’ve ever taken! I think the film is like fujifilm ISO 400 or something idk but I love the colors it brings out
