I really pride myself in my ability to see something and recreate it. I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember and it’s really become a way of life for me. Here’s a bonus pic of a recent project, I made this on labor day! I painted and buttoned the frame, I hand stamped the letters and cut them out and then collaged on some scrapbook paper i bought a few years ago.

I'm an artist, I'm also a perfectionist. In some ways they go hand in hand but in some ways it's a paralyzing combo. I feel the need to plan until it's perfect. But I've been trying to let myself just do it. Because I am an artist, and I do know what I like, and if it doesn't turn out I can change it later.
Letting go of that need for it to be perfect the first time always helps things go well. I'm sure this is applicable to many things. But decorate shit. Nothing is that permanent, if it gets fucked up it can be changed again.
Anyways I finally decorated my phone case as I've been meaning to, and I'm so very pleased with how it turned out.
On to fucking with my clothes, patches and embroidery here I come.
PS: a friend who does not know I go by moonbeams on here but knows the relic of a name from my art instagram handle pointed out that it's literally moonbeams, which was unintentional, and hilarious, and I hope you guys will appreciate with more context than they had
