If I really want to focus on some work/reading/hobby or want to stop my self from doomscrolling I use this app (see link). It grows a little tree if you don't use your phone but if you use it the tree dies :( When you succesfully grow a bunch of trees they form your forest!

the flora app is my favorite productivity tool to help me lock in!!!! i’ve used it for years for school and i’m using it even in post-grad when i catch myself doomscrolling too much. basically, you set a timer for how long you want to focus for. if you go on any other app on your phone within the timer, you kill the tree you were set to grow!!! but if you stay focused, you add a cute little tree or plant to your garden. you can donate money to plant a real tree as more of an incentive. the killing a tree message actually makes me a lil sad, even if it’s not “real.” so it motivates me to focus and not kill my online trees 😭

My favourite little self care app. It helps motivate me to do tasks because I can write them down then tick them off and when you complete enough tasks(goals) then your finch can go on an adventure. A great feature of it is it asks you how you're feeling and if you're feeling more negative you get more energy to go on an adventure after completing a goal. (Not sure if I'm explaining this very well but it's cool). You can also breathing exercises and listen to soundscapes on the app to help with stress and to calm you down. Some of my friends also have the app so you can send eachother encouragement which is really nice, the app itself also sends you notifications throughout the day with nice wee messages. You get to watch your finch grow from a baby to an adult as it goes on adventures to different places that you chose. You can also dress your finch up and decorate it's house it's really fun.

I fucking love this thing. Tells you when to water, mist, fertilize, prune, and repot. My FAVORITE part is that it tells you based on the cycle of the moon what you can and can’t do for your plants. How cool is that?! You can post pics of your plants to the community and ask questions. It also scans your plants for diseases and recommends what you can do to help them. I think it cost like 40 clams? maybe forever? Whatever it costs it’s worth it. My plants are thriving, and it’s great for a scatterbrain like moi. It’s one of the few apps that I use and I feel good doing it. Now part of my morning ritual.

In 2024 I made it my mission to try every almond croissant I could find in my city and make a power ranking. Not only did I get to eat so many almond croissants (huge W for me) it also gave me a reason to leave my house on boring days, I discovered many new cool cafés and bakeries, and I made friends talking about my quest for croissants! For 2025 I gladly pass on my quest to you, god speed soldier!
