once i got over my fear of not having anything "important" or "smart" to write or my pages not looking aesthetically pleasing enough, i realized how refreshing and therapeutic it is to put my thoughts on paper—regardless of how much value i'll find in them in the future

i'm so with this. i love writing things down on paper. as a perfectionist it can be hard to get past the not wanting to make any mistakes (esp bc I like writing with pen) but once you accept that there will be mistakes it feels so freeing :)

i like to keep a small notebook handy, or even just my notes app (but i think it’s better to do this handwritten) and whenever i have an idea i just jot it down really quickly. it takes some of the pressure off to have my ideas on paper and from there it’s easier to do some brainstorming and see where it leads you. this is a pretty simple idea but i’ve found it really helps me whenever i feel stressed out abt starting a creative project. hope this helped!
