I’m so lucky I didn't have to read this until college because there’s no way I would have appreciated it as a high schooler.
I will also always go to bat for Macbeth (specifically for Lady Macbeth) and Hamlet (for depression).

this is my favorite novel and makes me feel all warm inside. i love how bittersweet it is in its portrayal of fuckups and forgiveness and trust in others and changing as a person but not as much as youd like to. profoundly human and beautiful.

people often spend too much money on things they can make with patience, for example any single panel of wood used for any need like a shelf. u can pick up a peice of wood from loads of places and just varnish it/paint it however u want. dont fall for predatory consumerism !!!1 but carpentery
