ethereal electronic folk pop music from the Austin raised artist Quiet Light, who I came across via Ana Roxanne’s hub on nina protocol (independent artist streaming platform)
perhaps the highlight of my week

Or anything Powell and Pressburger really
Black Narcissus is a once-banned British psychological drama revolving around the growing tensions amongst a group of angelical nuns who’ve been relocated to the Himalayan mountains. Banned due to its sexual inferences and potentially offensive portrayal of religious figures. I love movies with monastic themes and the coloring in this film is otherworldly.
Highly recommend The Red Shoes and A Matter of Life and Death as well!

I feel more grounded in my body and emotions, can feel myself getting stronger, my weeks are more structured, it’s dedicated time to work on myself.

Ling Ma made me enjoy reading again
It is in the most surreal situations that a person feels the most present, the closest to reality.
Themes include alienated women in bizarre circumstances, husbands speaking in $$$$, yeti lovemaking, immigration, ancient burial rituals, and so much more
