And the entire Pleasure album from 2017. I saw a live clip of her playing it on Instagram, and the distorted acoustic guitar tone blew my mind and I’ve been obsessively listening to it ever since, and then the entire album. I’ve never heard it before and I’ve become so inspired by the arrangements and production. It’s kind of PJ Harvey, kind of Carina Round, kind of…well old Feist but with none of the tweeness of her 2007 hit.

revisited this album recently oh my gosh it’s just So Gorgeous. Listened to it all the way through twice yesterday then I did the same with Pleasure. Maybe today I’ll do Metals. Although Feist is well established in the indie music world I still think she gets overlooked.

Hands down one of my favorite songs ever, for sure some of the best musical work to come out of the 21st century. This song is raw yet euphoric, confident but wounded. The guitar intro is crazy, Weyes spits bars the entire track, and the outro is remarkable. The influences are clear but Natalie adds an entire new level of intimacy the modern music industry is scared to accept. She's a modern day Joni Mitchell when referencing skill level, in my opinion. I really do love it and its my go to when someone asks: "What should I listen too?".

been a fan for a while but I think this most recent album of hers is my fave (last one is great too). was most impressed by how she reinvented her music, particular the "bedroom pop" songs from her early career. I honestly wondered beforehand if she'd even play them, she's matured so much from that part of her career, but she fully redid the composition for them. And there's a flute and saxophone solos allllll over this show. You can tell she loves music and wants to make it an experience for the crowd. Ya gotta see!

They look like alien plants and the bees fucking love them and they propagate themselves so easily. You plant one and next year you’ll have 10.
