It may be my avoidant or counter culture tendencies, but with the prevalence of brat summer I wanna go in the opposite direction with this bluegrass album. I feel a resurgence in actual country music now that post-9/11 reactionary conservative country has gone full on brain rot. (it literally struck me so hard when I realized pop-country music is just childrens music for maga.) So I’m happy to start finding the true voices of the genre.

growing up my family exclusively listened to country which made me not want to listen to country and the popification of it (knockin boots is my personal hell) ANYWAYS listening to the spotify playlist and realizing i know so many of these :’) shoutout to bob 94.9
I love everything by Ottessa but Lapvona is probably my favorite. It is such a disgusting and hilarious look. I love how unafraid she is of the human condition.
