The one by Jennifer Piercy. Insight timer is a meditation app, I use it for the timer and sometimes guided meditations like this one. I like her straightforwardness, it’s not too new agey. I can honestly say I don’t think ive ever heard the whole mediation because it puts me out.

Like anything else that lots of people are telling me to do, I resisted meditation for ages (that’s my contrarian complex). The continuous search for purpose finally broke me down and I tried meditation, starting with short, guided practices on insight timer. This app has everything! Meditations, courses, music, trackers, and the eponymous timer. I am consistently impressed with the functionality of the app and the quality content that teachers generously share. If you’re using the free version and a particular piece of content really resonates, you can easily send money to the creator. Plus, once you get into it, meditation is like free entertainment, advice, and connection, all in one.

It shows you subtitles in 2 languages at once, and has other helpful features like the ability to automatically pause after each sentence so you canactually read them. What I’m currently trying and liking is watching a tv show first with either just English or both language subtitles, then with subtitles in the target language, then with no subtitles. Forces you to concentrate and work on listening.
