i went for 4 years and i wish more than anything i could go back and relive it again.
my friends are sick of my stories from then, but it holds so much of my being.
i got to be away from my parents and around new people who didnt know me along with my best friend at the time. it was a new experience and the first time i had freedom and learned how to sail. i don’t have contact with my camp friends anymore but we follow each other on instagram still.
i wish every kid the experience

🏖I was playing by myself in the sandbox and someone tapped my shoulder and I looked up and saw a girl smiling at me with the sun behind her head like a halo, asking to play with me. I thought she was soooooo beautiful. It’s one of my sweetest memories :-)

🥐Due to a strange loophole in Australian duty of care laws in approx 2006 some French backpackers were permitted to run and organise a ‘linguistic immersion camp’ in the countryside with high school kids and I signed up through school. Could have gone terribly as the supervisors were often absent or hungover but I had an absolute blast and made so many friends. We were all nerds and spent most of the time playing cards and writing down playlists for one another on scraps of paper since we had no internet access. I remember falling asleep on the bus on the way back with my head on the shoulder of another kid who I’d met days prior and feeling totally accepted and at peace. It was just before everyone had a phone/socials so once it was over I never saw them again. If anyone in the Melbourne area was at the Alliance Française high school immersion camp please HMU, I would love to chat x

🪷can we bring back this form of media that has some sort of substance to it?!
i was too young for the millennial blogspot boom and too old to gaf about insta so tumblr was my destined platform (long rip). but i want to experience the blogspot type of thing i missed out on and having the ability to write and actually make my own stuff, not just reblog aesthetic shit. i can go to pinterest for that.

🤤i’ve been a mango fan since birth but finally as an adult i bought a mango and vowed to eat it at its peak ripeness. (as a child they would rot cuz my parents didnt care about them, whores) i just did and it was heavenly 🥹 one of the best treats in the world i swear
eff the inedible pale yellow under ripe precut mango from whatever store and buy a whole mango!!!!! its worth the week wait.
i have a second one too thank god but it’s not as ripe yet
now if i keep buying them on rotation i can have one a week 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
