Cleaning your shoes
Idk if it’s a cultural thing but I routinely clean my white sneakers. I graduated from a toothbrush to tools that are for shoe cleaning (I gotta shoe cleaning brush with boar hairs or some shit like where they do that at). It gives me peace and unscrambles my mind. Plus I’ve been giving out Unc level advice lately while doing it, it’s like I turn into an old wise master when I got those forces in my hands.

do you have any advice on cleaning white/light shoes? (asking esp bc i walk around a city AND my roommate spilt the vacuum on my blue and white leather converse pair and they have dust the cracks now…)

marxinista I use Jason Markk shoe cleaner. Been my go to for years. Just clean them after every wear and they’ll be good as new depending on how dirty they are.

marxinista yeah Jason Markk has solid shoe care packs. it’s a little investment but pretty reasonable. I’d also add get a spray can of water + stain protector and give your shoes a treatment after you fully clean them. I use M&B Pro-Tex

My new shoes
I’m very stubborn when it comes to buying new items for my wardrobe - especially shoes. i recently got myself a new pair for the first time since i was sixteen. But I still wear my old white air force 1s. And my black ones too. But not too long ago i got these fake docs and they fit me great! It feels so weird to walk around in un-creased shoes. But that wont last very long. I dont know how to take good care of footwear. But that’s nothing a trip to the mall can’t fix. You know those guys who offer to spruce up your shoes in the mall?

Gotta do some writing? Let me throw on my work boots. Cleaning and organizing things? wear some sneakers for some pep in my step. I’ll kick the shoes off once I’m done working.
