I love these movies. They were both advertised to the public as fun, family blockbusters but they are actually just really long and upsetting. No family would enjoy either of these films.

Not to mention, they suck ass. Really wish we could've gotten Kubrik's fucked up A.I. vision vs. Spielberg schlock.

Type 1: movies where thereās some loser that falls in love with a machine that also happens to personify a female figure (e.g: Her, Ex-Machina, Blade Runner, etc). Itās boring and weird. The robot always gets weirdly sexualized and violence gets incited upon it, either through the movie or the spectators who are sick enough to imagine committing violent, often sexual acts against it. But itās supposed to be fine ācause itās not a woman. Just a woman playing a robot who personifies a female-like figure š. Also, Wall-E will always be the superior version of these kinds of movies, and itās not even a human.
Type 2: movies where a person has some disease and the whole movie is just them trying to overcome the disease only for them to die in the end. Itās boring. Even worse when itās surrounding a romance plot. It comes off as fetishy to me š

i hate to say it, but you have to watch all three to really understand how bonkers these movies truly are. from a recycled cast to a black and white movie with just the poop colored, every detail about this trilogy is absurd. i canāt in good faith really recommend watching any of these; every time i watched one of these movies with a partner we broke up shortly after. trigger warning for literally everything too. the writers really wanted to strike every nerve they could.
and im gonna be real. i could write essays digging into deeper meaning of these movies if i wanted to, but when it comes down to it, these movies are just fuckin gross and thatās what i love about them. they really āgo thereā every time and it makes for an uncomfortable and grimy viewing experience. whether thatās your thing or not really will make or break it.
2nd one is my fave, all more fun to watch with friends š¤

this movie was interesting, but overall sucked. almost no plots reach any conclusion, there's really uncomfortable "romance" between the child main character and a disabled adult, and it's way too long for what happens.

I love holding cameras and pushing the button that takes the picture. They can be expensive but cheap crappy ones are also really fun. Obviously you can just take photos on your phone BUT when you take photos with a real camera it feels like you are holding a gun and shooting it. You can aim at anything or anyone and just shoot it like a gun all day and itās not a problem. Unfortunately many of the people who really like and care about cameras are disgusting.
