One of my astronomy professors (an older JPL astrophysicist) in my undergrad made the whole class watch Contact in class on Valentine’s Day and very loudly said ‘SO ROMANTIC ’when Foster and McConaughey first smooched. I think it may also be his comfort movie hehe.
