to me that album cover is giving The Science of Sleep from the same era. full disclosure though, i haven’t actually seen this movie so if it sucks don't come after me. it’s also giving A Trip to the Moon (1902).

yesterday, i found a scene from some european movie called the sound of sleep. tried watching it, some of it was in spanish and i clicked off, may revisit. anyways the scene features a parody of the magnificent velvet underground tune, after hours. i like that song alot.
super surreal and dreamy, in a slightly snarky way.. it’s one of my favourite comfort movies. the story was cooked up by harry nillson while he was super high on LSD, who then of course wrote the entire soundtrack as a loose concept album, which is very very good!!!! it’s all narrated by ringo starr too!!!!!! u used 2 b able 2 watch the whole thing on youtube, but i think that’s changed in recent years :(((
was walking through the Musée d’Orsay alone after a breakup, contemplating renunciation and renting a turn of the century efficiency apartment with an iron bed when i got back home, and this painting stopped me in my tracks.
i used to do this for a living and it was a job that only got attention when we made a mistake, and is taken for granted when done right. i captioned the 2018 world series game that went 18 innings, plus pre- and post-game coverage, for a total of over 8 hours on air with no breaks but commercials. now i smile when i see a bar is playing a game with the captions on. a real person is on the other end working hard to give you the best experience!
