not sure why but an older post of mine started getting interactions today and it reminded me that this site exists ANDD also how i've stepped up my texture collection game by purchasing a portable hand scanner! u should do this, its comparable to visual sampling in the wild. great for graffiti, typefaces, wood grain, just whatever whatever the world is yours to capture hahah :D attached is a scan i took of a neon sign

lately Iโve been into taking pics during the day and compiling them all onto one photo to capture its vibe
like my morning coffee, a meal, or a cute cat Iโve been petting on the corner of a street
graffitis help to visually strengthen things but sometimes I just incorporate some graphic elements I find online
also, Iโm obsessed with archiving interesting amateur posters, especially ones about lost pets
while one can provide unique graphic and text choices, the other can invoke really emotional responses from me

yes, you should help your elderly coworker move over the weekend. friend gives you a prompt for a funny photo to make in photoshop? do it. getting invited to work as a mascot at a convention, by the worst person you know? fuck it we ball. connect with others and open your heart to doing things spontaneously.

go 2 a state park near you and just document (photograph, sketch, etc) interesting textures that you come across. moss is an easy one. think of it as the visual equivalent to field recordings. start appreciating minor details ๐ค๐
