this is a short book with a collection of short stories, where each story had a theme of 'something unwelcome in the home'. it helped a lot with getting me back into reading after not reading for fun in years (due to school + having adhd). some of the critiques on this book are from 1) many things being left unsaid/unexplained and 2) it wasn't 'scary enough'. so i think you'd have a better experience if you're okay with mysterious endings or you prefer to read books that are more 'subtly' eerie.

vvv highly recommend ! she has three collections of short stories, one of which just released, as well as a novel, which is one of my favorite things i’ve ever read! v haunting and infused w esoteric themes

Nothing annoys me more about the American culture than the lack of enthusiasm. If I invite you to go somewhere and your answer is “sure” or “why not”, I’m taking it back. I do not wanna be surrounded by indifferent people. It’s unworthy.

it’s my dream

When I was a kid, I had a homework assignment that asked me what my biggest dream was, and I wrote, 'to spend a whole day on the internet.' That didn’t age well for obvious reasons, but here, that feeling was rekindled. In that spirit, here’s my favorite picture of pre teen me, chasing for enlightenment online…. she would’ve loved pi.fyi
