i’ve been really enjoying dropout content?
- dimension 20 is their actual play show, i would recommend the fantasy high: freshman year arc (that is on youtube!) or their dungeons and drag queens season (it’s also on youtube!)
- make some noise is their like improv-y grown up theatre kid show and they have full episodes on youtube
- game changers is a show where the structure of the game changes every episode? which is fun at least to me because it’s something new every time
- rewatching the harry potter series gives me something to watch and frequently gives me ideas of something more interesting to consume while i view it (not in a bad way!! i’ve just seen it so many times that it’s not like refreshing anymore it’s background noise lol)
- watching as many of the 90s/early 2000s shakespeare teen movie adaptations (shakespeare needle freak sorry), personal faves are she’s the man and romeo & juliet
- also just getting really into not necessarily a hobby but watching people do their hobby (binge watching people hand-make cards? or listening to someone explain everything you need to start needlefelting) so even though you don’t want to start that hobby you at least know a little bit more about it
- and finally just reading and rereading the perks of being a wallflower. the audiobook makes me sob everytime
i hope this helps and as someone who also grapples with needing an emotional support show/book/etc, even when you don’t feel like life is worth living it’s always worth it to wait around until it is again you know?
