I started a practice this year of pulling a tarot card every morning, using prompts I write for myself each month, considering what’s on my schedule, what phase the moon will be in, and so on. (A gift to future self) Then I’ll meditate on how I can implement the wisdom of that card into my day. It’s a good way to ground before stepping out into interacting with other humans.

i love drawing daily cards from either from my tarot or oracle card decks for journal prompts. it gives me something to take with me into my day and something to write/reflect on when I’m journaling. i find the messages provide helpful insights and perspectives on my current life :) ✨🌙

1) what am I doing this cycle? 2) what are my priorities and values this cycle? 3) what is the energy of this cycle? (what do I need to be aware of, how should I use my energy etc). My new New Moon Ritual involves first looking at my diary to see what events/deadlines etc are happening in the oncoming moon cycle. then writing the prompt “what do I want to prioritise this cycle?” It can be projects you want to take priority in your energy over others or it can be a way of being like prioritising rest, or movement, or friendship. Then the final prompt I use tarot cards for - “what is the energy of this cycle?” i use the cards and my previous answers to see how I want to move through the month, what areas I need to be aware of or nurture more, what things I want to avoid or embrace. You can still do this prompt without tarot I think if you ask yourself what energy you feel you are in now, and how it would need to be in order to meet your goals and priorities for the cycle.

being traditionally cool is really quite boring and iterative, and it’s actually very cool and sexy to geek out about something you like or share bits of knowledge on a topic you’re passionate about

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WORKER’S DAY!!!! i love having a union, i love being a union steward and getting to support my unit. when my union won its contract, i got a pay bump, better benefits, and increased protection as a worker. 🥳 unions help address racial and gender pay gaps, issues workplaces impose on families and those having kids, addressing unsafe conditions, plus things like better health insurance, wages and overtime, weingarten rights to representation, and more!!! if you don’t have a union but are thinking about forming one, check out AFL-CIO’s page (linked) or Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee. there’s always more power in a union!! ✊🥖🌹
